COVID-19 update: 5-18-20

  1. Is Madonna University going to be holding classes on campus in the Fall 2020 semester?
    Announced on May 18, Madonna University is going to hold classes on campus in the fall. Teams are meeting at Madonna to plan to re-open campus in the fall and ensure the safety of our students and campus community. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
  2. Is Madonna University still accepting applications/scholarships for Fall 2020? What is the deadline?
    Yes, Madonna University is still accepting applications for fall admission, and scholarship offers. The deadline has been extended until at least June 1, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please complete the free application today www.madonna.edu
  3. I am unable to obtain official transcripts for Fall 2020 admission, what can I do?
    Madonna University will accept unofficial documents (name  and address must be legible on all documents) to determine admission.
  4. I am a 2020 high school senior and I have never taken the ACT/SAT exam can I still apply to Madonna and be consider for admission?
    If you have been denied the opportunity to take the ACT/SAT exam due to test cancellation, please submit your transcript and an essay (250 words or less) indicating the reasons why you want to attend Madonna University.
  5. I am coming to Madonna directly from high school; am I required to attend new student orientation?
    Yes, new student orientation will be offered online. Register for orientation here.                
  6. How will pass/fail or credit/no credit grading impact my admission?
    Provided you receive a passing mark, courses taken pass/fail or credit/no credit in the Winter 2020 term will not impact your admission to Madonna (this applies to new students for Fall 2020).
  7. My family’s financial situation has changed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, can I be considered for additional aid?
    During these challenging times we understand the strain that the coronavirus pandemic has placed on families financially. The Financial Aid Office will begin considering family situation changes in mid-May. Please contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss your special circumstance finaid@madonna.edu 
  8. Can I defer my admission to Madonna University?
    Yes, Madonna will allow new students who have been admitted for Fall 2020 to defer admission as-is for up to one year (Fall 2021) provided the student does not have a change in application status by enrolling at another institution during this time. If a merit-based award for Fall 2020 was awarded, it will be honored for Fall 2021, provided the student’s application status does not change by enrolling at another institution.
  9. How will Madonna award advance-placement credits given the change to the spring AP test announced by the College Board?
    Students who are required to take the AP exam(s) online will not be penalized. Students will be awarded credit based upon their test scores. Get more information about Advanced Placement credits at Madonna University here.
