Thank you for your patience.
Starting at a new university is a big transition, whether you are coming to us directly from high school, transferring from another institution, or beginning your college career later in life. For this reason, we require that all new students complete an orientation prior to beginning at the University.
Office of First-Year Experience - Room 1400
There are several steps you should take to prepare for the Fall 2022 semester.
Please email fye@madonna.edu with any questions.
This program is specifically for students who are coming to Madonna right from high school or home school environments. Students coming to Madonna University directly from high school are part of our First-Year Experience program, which guides them through a series of events intended to ease the transition to the University. Students are required to attend an orientation program during the summer prior to starting at the institution.
We are currently working to provide students a robust orientation program that will bring students to campus to meet new people, see what campus life is all about, and make connections to campus! Students will be scheduling classes while at their Overnight orientation session.
On-Ground Orientation:
On-ground Orientation will work to connect you to the Madonna campus, help you meet new classmates, and connect with on-campus resources, faculty, and staff. Our FYE Peer Mentors (students who have successfully completed at least one year at Madonna already) will spend the entirety of orientation with you and lead you through the program. At orientation, you will be introduced to our wide range of academic, social, and service-learning opportunities. You will register for your first semester of classes while at orientation. You also will learn about other First-Year events and programs designed to answer your questions and help you achieve academic success.
Summer 2022 Orientation Schedules
All new, direct from high school students are required to attend an on-ground, interactive Orientation. An overnight stay for students is required as part of your New Student Orientation. During New Student Orientation, you will attend sessions that familiarize you with Madonna University's Campus. These are first come first serve so be sure to sign up quick!

Unable to make any of these dates/ live out of state? Please visit your admissions status page to signup for our late orientation date on August 15th which will have a virtual option. Once you sign up, you will receive instructions on how to register for classes and connect with your Success Coach.
Please reach out to fye@madonna.edu if you have any further questions!
As you begin this new chapter of your life, the support of loved ones can help ensure your success. We will be hosting parent/guardian sessions during our on-ground New Student Orientation dates, so you will be able to have them join you to experience campus and hear from a variety of offices on campus that are here to help you acheive academic success.
Parents/Guardians are not required to come to campus for orientation, however we will have parent-specific sessions available during the day on both Monday and Tuesday they can attend. If your parent/guardian is in attendance with you, they are welcome to come to all three meals and dine with us!
The Financial Aid guest session will be at 4:00 pm on the first day of Orientation, and Financial Aid staff will be available after dinner on Monday for any questions they may have!
Transfer Students (or students older that 24 years old) have two options to cover the requirement of attending orientation. We suggest completing the online orientation first and if you would still like, email fye@madonna.edu for an individual on-campus orientation. The online orientation program option is only for these students and is not an option for direct from high school students.
After being admitted to Madonna, you will recieve your My Portal/Blackboard login
information from the Registrar's office through email. This will include your student
ID number.
Please follow the steps below to enroll and you can work through the modules at your own pace. After completing this, feel free to contact your Success Coach to schedule classes.
If you have questions concerning the online orientation please send us an email at fye@madonna.edu and we can help you enroll in the Blackboard organization shell.
We tailor our Adult and Transfer Student Orientation program to your needs. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, connect with other students, and learn about campus resources. Take advantage of this time to become familiar with our campus, academic advisors, financial aid officers, student life representatives, career services, and other Madonna staff who are available to help you.
Adult and Transfer Student Orientation sessions are scheduled on an individual basis. Please contact our office at fye@madonna.edu to set up your personal session!
