All new students will need to complete an orientation prior to beginning at the University.
At your orientation, you will hear from multiple areas including: Financial Aid, Student
Life, Academic Advising, First-Year Experience, and more! It is a great time to meet
other new students, and begin building those crucial skills needed in college.
Winter 2024 and Summer 2024 Start Students:
While we don't have any remaining dates for orientation, please reach out to us at
fye@madonna.edu to set up some time to go over what your steps might be before starting with us!
We are happy to provide you with the tools and resources to be successful in your
first semester with us.
Fall 2024 Start Students:
We are so excited you are getting ready to join us! We expect more information regarding
your orientation experience to be available in the late spring. Keep an eye on your
Madonna email for updates.
Orientation: Direct from High School Students
We are very excited to help you navigate the exciting journey that is college. As
you are new to college, you are required to attend orientation to ensure you have
all the tools needed for a successful start to your first semester. Please see the
information below for how to sign up, steps to take, and what to expect at orientation.
There are many steps you will need to take prior to attending orientation and starting
classes, many of which we cover at orientation. However, please try to complete the
following before attending orientation.
- 1. Login to your Madonna email and setup your Madonna MyPortal if you haven't already. If you need assistance, please contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@madonna.edu or
734-432-5800.
- 2. Make sure you have filed the FAFSA for your upcoming school year. It is important you list Madonna University (Federal School Code of 002282 on the FAFSA).
Parents/Guardians are not required to come to campus for orientation, however if they
would like to come, they are more than welcome to. We do limit each student to 2 guests
at orientation and ask that when you sign up for orientation, you indicate the number
of guests.
Orientation: Transfer Students
Transfer students who are transferring in 13 or more credits (excluding dual enrollment
or AP credit) or students older that 24 years old, have two options to cover the requirement
of attending orientation. You can either attend the in-person orientation or complete
the online orientation program. We highly recommend the in-person options as this
is a great way to get to meet other transfer students. After either of these options
if you still have questions, please email fye@madonna.edu for your individual questions. The online orientation program option is only for
transfer students and is not an option for direct from high school students.
Stay tuned for more information in late Spring 2024 on when sign up's will be available!
After being admitted to Madonna, you will recieve your My Portal/Blackboard login
information from the Registrar's office through email. This will include your student
ID number.
- You can either self enroll or just email fye@madonna.edu and let us know you need to be added to the online transfer orientation and we can
get you set up.
- Self enroll instructions:
- Go to your Madonna MyPortal and click on Blackboard Learn (https://myportal.madonna.edu/ics)
- Click on the "Courses" link located in the upper right corner

- Now click where it says "Madonna University" at the top right, scroll to the bottom,
and you should see "My Organizations" listed where you can move through it at your

There are many steps you will need to take prior to attending orientation. All of
this information will also be in your confirmation email once you signup for orientation.
We will go over these items again and answer any last minute questions on these at
orientation as well.
- 1. Login to your Madonna email and setup your Madonna MyPortal if you haven't already. If you need assistance, please contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@madonna.edu or

of classes. To find who your Success Coach is, click here. There will be a link that says "Success Coaches Listed by Major" . Please email them

If you have any troubles with this or questions, contact muadvising@madonna.edu.
- 3. Reach out to financial aid if you still have remaining questions. Charges for classes don't go on until you register for classes so those statements

or sfs@madonna.edu if you still have questions on financial aid.
Your Photo ID will be taken for your Madonna OneCard at Orientation. If you missed
orientation, be sure to read more information about where you can get this photo taken
