Madonna University Graduate Nursing White Coat Ceremony


2023 Nursing White Coat Recipients

LIVONIA, MICH. – When Madonna graduate nursing students complete their degree program, they are honored at a special convocation where they receive their white lab coats. 

In addition to all of the speeches, the DAISY Award nominees Sawsan Hashwi and Brittany McLaughlin were recognized and Hashwi received the award. Nominees for the faculty DAISY Award were Associate Professors Aimee Kantzler and Jennifer Reynolds, with Kantzler receiving the award. The DAISY Award, an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System, was created by the family of Patrick Barnes as a way to honor the extraordinary, compassionate care of nurses for their patients and families. Since 1999, the DAISY Award has been implemented in 5,400 healthcare facilities in all 50 states and 35 other countries. You can learn more about the DAISY award on the DAISY Foundation's website
