LIVONIA, MICH. – Felipe Guimaraes (BS, Sport Management, 2019) recently earned the prestigious CFM Certificate from Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). He credits the ESL Program at Madonna University for his success.
Guimaraes shared, "ESL, without a doubt, was my life-changer. When I joined the program at the beginner level, I couldn't even establish basic conversations. The support and professionalism at Madonna, especially from Hadeel Betti, who runs the program with great care and dedication, made all the difference."
After completing his degree, Guimaraes joined 4COMM as an account executive for new business, and his English skills were needed to aid in the company's internationalization. In nine months, he became head of football operations and is now a partner at one of Brazil's leading football companies. Notably, in 2022, 4COMM's sale of player Antony to Manchester United placed them among the ten most valuable football companies globally.
Guimaraes' journey illustrates how the Madonna ESL program changes lives by preparing international students for academic and professional success. "My arrival at Madonna University through ESL was the necessary leap for me to become stronger as a person, a Christian, and a professional," Guimaraes shared.
