Catholic tenets of showing respect and dignity for all people merged with building bridges of understanding

Led by Sister Nancy Marie Jamroz, CSSF, the Center for Catholic Studies and Interfaith Dialogue is just that – a program based on Catholic tenets of showing respect and dignity for all people merged with the philosophy that building bridges of understanding between people of all faiths is the only way that real societal change and positive outcomes can come to fruition.

The Center for Catholic Studies and Interfaith Dialogue was created in 2015 and got its public start with three events on campus in the Fall of 2016. One was the planting of tulip bulbs on campus to beautify God’s earth, and the others were documentaries shown in the Kresge Hall. The film events brought together and fostered dialogue with nearly 250 people each time from Christian, Sikh and Muslim faiths.

Madonna’s campus is a melting pot of diverse students when it comes to generation gaps, different races, religions, convictions and cultures. In a world that’s becoming more ‘I’ than ‘we’ – staff members and students at Madonna are bucking that trend with a group they call Better Together. This dedicated group is making opportunities for people to come together through community service projects – a proven method for people of various faiths to find common ground.

When donors like you choose to support Madonna, we are all better together.
