Madonna University offers a variety of noncredit courses designed to support professional growth, skill development, and career advancement. These programs provide flexible learning opportunities for individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge or gain practical credentials.

The RN Refresher Course, offered by Madonna University's College of Nursing and Health, has been designed for nurses who have been out of clinical practice longer than two years and are wishing to return to an adult setting in acute care, home care, and/ or long-term care. The RN Refresher Course is intended to assist the nurse in completing agency orientation with confidence. An update on adult medical-surgical conditions commonly encountered in hospital, home care, and long-term care settings will be provided. General concepts of disease management, professional and legal accountability, critical thinking skills, assessment, documentation, pharmacology, delegation, clinical practice guidelines, and discharge planning will be presented. Learners enrolled in the RN Refresher Course (CPS 4200 - Section 01) may also register for CPS 4201 (Section 01), for a small additional fee, to receive optional certification of skill competency, including skills required for Michigan relicensure.

The Madonna University Nurse Aid Training Program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to perform basic health care services to residents or patients who reside in an acute or long-term care setting. Madonna University is a State of Michigan approved Nurse Aide Training Program. It includes 65 classroom/lab hours and 24 clinical hours. After successful completion of the CNA Training Program, students will be eligible to take the State of Michigan Competency Evaluation Exam. Once passed, names will be placed on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry and will be able to start working as a CNA.

Note: The State of Michigan is changing the education requirements for licensed nursing home administrators beginning May 7, 2026. In addition to these pre-licensure courses offered by Madonna University, administrators will also need to be an RN (associate trained or higher), OR have earned at least a bachelor's degree.

Policies regarding withdrawal and refunds for noncredit students are parallel to students enrolled in courses for credit. See the Course Schedule for details.
You may pay via e-check, credit or debit card online. If paying by credit or debit card, you will be charged a nonrefundable 2.95% service fee. You must register online if paying by credit card. Madonna University accepts American Express, Discover, Visa, and MasterCard.
For on-campus courses, you will receive a temporary parking pass in your email.
Madonna no longer charges a parking fee for non-credit courses.

If you’re currently attending another college, you can take classes with us for up to two semesters without going through the full admission process.
Just fill out a Registration Form and make sure to check the "Guest Student" box. Then, email the completed form along with a copy of your unofficial transcripts to registrar@madonna.edu.
Please note: Guest students are not eligible for financial aid, and tuition is due on the first day of classes.
