Tuition Incentive Program: Madonna University

The tuition incentive program (TIP) is a State of Michigan program that encourages eligible students to complete high school by providing tuition assistance for the first two years of college and beyond.

The tuition incentive program operates in two phases with program requirements and eligibility requirements highlighted for each phase. Madonna University is a participating institution of both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the program.

Phase 1 of TIP funds will only cover classes within a student’s associate’s degree program of study

If a student has been told that they are not eligible for TIP, but feel they should be eligible based on the criteria, the student may appeal their status. The appeal has to be for a mitigating circumstance - examples include but are not limited to: student was incarcerated during application period, student moved frequently and did not receive information that they were eligible (which SSG can confirm through returned mail entered in the notes section of the TIP database), student was hospitalized/injured during application period, etc. Appeals are never guaranteed for approval; however, will be reviewed by the Director for a determination. An appeal explanation and supporting documentation needs to be sent to:
