LIVONIA, MICH. – Madonna University student-athletes poured their hearts into Madonna’s 3rd Annual Victory Day!
Victory Day was created in 2010 by Aaron Segedi, a former teacher and football coach from Trenton. As a cancer survivor, Segedi started Victory Day as a way to give back to the community for being given a second chance at life.
The event provides cognitively and physically impaired children an opportunity to play football, soccer, or cheer, and to experience the thrill of winning and their "moment in the sun." It also provides Madonna student-athletes and coaches an opportunity to live out the University’s Franciscan values of respect for the dignity of all people, reverence for creation, and education for truth and service. The event was a huge victory for everyone involved.
