LIVONIA, MICH. – Madonna University Nutrition and Dietetics Graduate Program faculty, Karen Schmitz, Tina Miller, and Laura Kull, attended the Michigan Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MiAND) Annual Conference in Ann Arbor, May 4 and 5. They promoted the newly accredited MS Nutrition and Dietetics Coordinated Program and recruited preceptors for the supervised practice rotations.
At the conference, Tina Miller was honored with the MiAND Award, a lifetime achievement award, for her years of service to the profession of Nutrition and Dietetics. Miller has held several leadership positions including Past-President of MiAND and current President of the Michigan Nutrition and Dietetics Institute (MNDI). Miller has mentored many dietetic students and young dietitians during her career. She is committed to educating and uplifting dietetic students and professionals across the state of Michigan.
