LIVONIA, MICH. – In a memorable event during the Homecoming week of festivities, the Madonna University Athletics Department celebrated the illustrious 2023 Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Thursday, September 28th. The evening was filled with anticipation and excitement as four outstanding individuals were welcomed into the esteemed ranks of Madonna's Athletic Hall of Fame. The inductees were greeted with enthusiastic cheers from fellow student-athletes as they walked through a tunnel of support.
This year's distinguished Hall of Fame class included:
1. Sister Nancy Marie Jamroz (Administration), introduced by former Athletics Director Bryan Rizzo.
2. Jeremy Gooding (Baseball), introduced by his associate head coach Stu Rose.
3. Sarah Pack-Dyer (Women's Soccer), introduced by her coach Mark Zathey.
4. Bobby Naubert (Men's Basketball), introduced by his coach Noel Emenhiser.
Crusader Athletics Director Noel Emenhiser shared his admiration for the inductees, stating, "The 2023 Hall of Fame class includes extraordinary women and men who, during their time at Madonna, made an incredible impact on each person and program they encountered. These four inductees changed lives with their service, inspired others with their excellence, and left a mark on Madonna Athletics that will last for generations to come."
The Madonna University Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made substantial contributions to the rich traditions of Crusader athletics. In doing so, they have elevated the image and reputation of Madonna University. The Hall of Fame, which now boasts a total of 21 inductees, is located in the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena at the PAAAC.
