Men's Golf Team Finishes Fourth, Petzak Wins WHAC Individual Golf Title

LIVONIA, MICH. –The Madonna University men's golf team competed at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships from the Stoatin Brae Golf Club this past weekend. The Crusaders finished fourth out of 12 teams with a three-round score of 902.

Leading the way for Madonna was Brandon Petzak, who won the WHAC Individual Championship with a total score of 211. Petzak shot 69 in round one, before finishing the tournament with a 74 and 68 to finish one stroke ahead of Noah Honinger from UNOH. Petzak earned First Team All-WHAC honors for his efforts and was also named WHAC Golfer of the Year. He also landed on the WHAC Champions of Character team.

Up next are the NAIA National Championships in May. The Crusaders will wait to see if anyone is selected to play in the championship at the Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.
