LIVONIA, MICH. – On Saturday, November 11, the Division of Education within the College of Education and Human Development hosted an 85th Birthday Party.
Some alumni, former and current faculty and staff, and current students stopped in for cake, reminiscing, story time, and watching fun videos featuring faculty and staff over the years, such as: Can't Stop the Feeling, Teach if Out, and Happy. There were even some future students who came to the party because they were on campus for the Admissions Open House.
When Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Junior College was established by the Felician Sisters in 1937, its initial purpose was to educate the Sisters and later lay women to be elementary school teachers. For over 85 years, Madonna University has been developing teachers at every level, from pre-school to college and graduate school.
