LIVONIA, MICH. – Madonna University's Broadcast and Cinema Arts students and faculty recently had the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the world of cinema ownership thanks to a partnership with Phoenix Theatres.
Cory Jacobson, owner of Phoenix Theatres in Livonia, hosted the group for a special event that included a look at the inner workings of a modern movie theater. Students were able to witness the technical aspects of film presentation, including the intricate process of film investigation.
A highlight of the event was a screening of the new film, Dune 2, in Dolby Atmos. This cutting-edge sound system offers a fully immersive audio experience that places viewers in the center of the action.
"Dolby Atmos has revolutionized the way entertainment is both created and experienced," said Jacobson.
