LIVONIA, MICH. – With a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Brian Day, attended Madonna to earn a master's in project management in 2007, and a master's in business leadership in 2022. He found success at TC Energy, one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries. Day serves as area manager for TC Energy's gas operations in the Great Lakes Region Mackinaw Area. At a variety of companies, Day has held numerous positions in project management, electrical engineering, organizational management, operations management, and technical facilitation. He values the leadership skills he gained through his second master's. Day attributes his continued growth as a manager to the following faculty and their influential courses: Jessica Cummings, Tom Schoenfeldt (ret.), and John Huegli (ret.).
Madonna's organizational culture amplified Day's leadership efficiency, freeing up time for coaching youth basketball and softball, a direct result of the values that Madonna instilled in him and that enhance his daily life. Day has transitioned from designing construction projects to leading project management teams. He said his Madonna degrees prepared him to be a more efficient leader with a balanced work-life approach.
