LIVONIA, MICH. – The staff in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion extends a heartfelt thank you to the Marketing & Communications team for their time and effort in promoting A Show of Support: Ways to Respond to the Recent Attacks on the AAPI Community.
Dr. Leah Robinson and attorneys Aisa Villarosa and Mark Calaguas gave an informative, educational, and enlightening presentation on the root cause and history of the recent violence against the AAPI community as well as gave updates on advocacy and policy including the Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act passed through the U.S. House and the Senate and now signed by President Biden. This is an important recognition of Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) and reaffirms that like all Americans AAPI civil liberties matter.
