Alumni Tuition Benefit

Eligible alumni receive a preferred tuition rate that reduces the current graduate tuition rate by 20 percent per semester hour. This award can only be applied to tuition costs associated with Master's Degree Programs, Graduate Certificates, and Post Master's Certificates.

The Alumni Tuition Benefit is available to Madonna University alumni students who:

1. Completed a baccalaureate degree at Madonna University
2. Have been accepted into a degree-seeking Master's Program, Graduate Certificate or Post Master's certificate
3. Completed initial State of Michigan teacher certification at Madonna University and are in the process of being admitted to a Madonna University master's or specialist degree program
4. Completed a master's, specialist, or doctoral degree from Madonna University and are in the process of being admitted into a second master's or specialist degree or post master's certificate program
5. Completed a master's, specialist, or doctoral degree from Madonna University and returned to take one or more 5000/6000/7000-level courses
6. Enroll in a minimum of three graduate credit hours per semester (5000/6000/7000 level)

Procedure and Conditions

The alumni must complete and submit:

1. A graduate admissions application
2. The free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov (use MU code 002282)

Upon enrollment, tuition awards are administered by the Office of Financial Aid and will be included on the student's university bill.

The tuition benefit covers tuition only. Students must be enrolled in courses offered through Madonna online or the Livonia Campus of Madonna University. The alumni tuition benefit cannot be combined with any other Madonna University tuition discounts.

The tuition benefit may be reduced if the recipient receives other grants, scholarships, or benefits restricted to tuition from outside agencies or third-party entities, or if the recipient's total federal, state, and other institutional awards would exceed the recipient's tuition/cost of attendance at Madonna.

The Alumni Tuition Benefit does not apply to alumni who:

1. have only completed an associate's degree, an undergraduate certificate of completion, or a graduate certificate
2. are enrolled in a doctoral program
