At Madonna University, we want to make sure that all students can obtain a high-quality education, regardless of income. That's why we are introducing the Madonna University Commitment to Affordable Learning.
This award will ensure that newly admitted students beginning in the Fall 2024 semester and continuing with students beginning in Fall 2025, who receive the maximum amount of funding from the Federal Pell Grant and Michigan Achievement Scholarship will have no additional out-of-pocket expense for the cost of tuition.
To be eligible, you must:
This award will only be applied to the cost of tuition. Housing and meals are not included. Federal loans may be applied toward the cost of Housing and Meals. Madonna University encourages students to borrow responsibly.
The award is renewable for up to 4 years (fall and winter semesters only, summer semesters are not covered under this award). Students may receive this award for up to 10 consecutive semesters. If there is not consecutive enrollment, the award will not carry over to a future academic year. The award will be renewed if the student continues to demonstrate financial need, as confirmed by the FAFSA.
For renewal, the student must be full-time and in Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). If the student is in Unsatisfactory Academic Progress status, they must submit and receive approval for an SAP appeal with the Office of Financial Aid by the required deadline for the award to be applied.
If a student must withdraw during the semester and tuition is partially refunded, the award will also be adjusted.
The award can only be used to pay tuition costs incurred on the Livonia campus of Madonna University. The award is not transferable to any other college, university, or Madonna campus. Examinations and repeated credits do not count toward full-time credits.
Award recipients must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale to remain eligible.
Recipients must also remain full-time and in Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). If the student is in Unsatisfactory Academic Progress status, they must submit and receive approval for an SAP appeal with the Office of Financial Aid by the required deadline for the award to be applied.
