The Esports and Gaming Administration certificate will provide students with the unique skill set necessary for roles in the emerging field of Esports and gaming.
Technical and practical skills such as game development and event management are complemented with a broader appreciation of the dynamics of national and global gaming communities.
Esports is part of an exclusive partnership with RIZE Education and delivered in a hybrid format. You will be learning alongside other Madonna University students as well as students from a selective consortium of schools across the country. This will allow you to build a national network in the industry.

Dr. Nick Zoroya earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan in 2011, before completing his Master's degree in Education with a focus on Sports Leadership and Coaching from Michigan State University in 2015. In 2020, he completed his Ed.D in Sports Administration from Concordia University Chicago with his dissertation titled "Examining Coach Retention Methods in College Athletic Departments".
For the past thirteen years he has served a a teacher, college coach, high school athletic director, fitness manager, and the general manager of a sport digital media property. In that time, he has worked within five college athletic departments.
After graduating from Michigan State University with his bachelor’s degree in finance, Chandler earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. While pursuing his law degree, he began his college athletics career path by serving first as an intern, then as a graduate assistant, in the Toledo Department of Intercollegiate Athletics compliance office.
Prior to his tenure at Arizona State, Chandler worked in the compliance offices for the athletic departments at Ohio State University, and at Rutgers.
Chandler is a current member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). He has served as a guest lecturer for several institutions, including Arizona State's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, the Baltimore School of Law, and Madonna University (MI).
Lee is President & CEO, The LEE Group (TLG), MI LLC, an independent integrated marketing consulting firm focused on providing marketing, branding and communication solutions to clients. Additionally, TLG provides training & development to organizations in the areas of branding, re-branding and communications and has advised on how to effectively implement in an integrated fashion.
Throughout his distinguished career, Lee has held marketing leadership positions locally, regionally and nationally where he was responsible for leading the strategic, marketing, communication and other-related areas focused on business strategy and growth. He has worked for such blue-chip organizations including AAA, Pepsico, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, et. al. Under Lee’s three-year tenure, Detroit became the #1 program in the country.

Murphy is a 35 year professional in sports, parks and recreation with expertise in facility management and construction, fiscal management and community development. He is the Facility Manager for Livonia Community Recreation Center overseeing the operation of the 130,000 square foot facility with 17,000 members and previously coordinating the $30 million renovation of the building.
Prior to Livonia, Murphy was the business manager for Farmington Hills Ice Arena, program manager for Downriver Community Conference, and held parks and recreation management positions for Royal Oak and Melvindale. He began his career working at YMCAs after completing his degree in Recreation Management with a business emphasis. Murphy is a National Recreation and Park Association Certified Parks and Recreation Professional.

In 2018, Justin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Grand Valley State University. Justin then went on to earn a Masters in Education degree from Grand Valley State University while working as a Graduate Assistant Academic Advisor.
After graduation, Justin began working at Madonna University in 2021 as an Enrollment Center Specialist and Records Specialist within the Office of the Registrar before beginning his role as Advisor/Success Coach in January 2022.
Justin is passionate about advocating for students on campus and encouraging them to feel empowered and confident in pursing their educational and personals goals here at Madonna University.
