This winter, Madonna University Repertory Theatre is supporting Foster Closet of Michigan - Western Wayne County.
Often children arrive in their new foster home with only the clothes on their back. The Foster Closet provides new and like new clothes, shoes, toiletries, bedding, new socks, underwear, diapers and wipes, and baby equipment FREE to kids in care, in an effort to alleviate the financial burden of foster parenting. Appointments to 'shop' can be made by calling (800)554-4966 x213.
We’re so glad you’re interested!
Currently, Foster Closet is in need of the following:
Socks size M (9-2)
Size 4 & 6 underwear for boys and girls
New/gently worn pants and long sleeve shirts sizes 3T-5 boys and girls.
Theatre patrons are encouraged to donate to Foster Closet when they attend Madonna University Repertory Theatre’s production of Deborah Brevoort's The Women of Lockerbie in Kresge Hall on March 13-15, 2020. At each production, members of The Foster Closet staff will be present to accept donations.
As a part of our fall production, the Madonna University Repertory Theatre gave back to the community through our support of The Brides Project.
The Brides Project is a non-profit bridal salon in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Wedding dresses are donated to The Brides Project from all across the country. The money raised from the sale of gowns supports families touched by cancer through the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor. The mission of TBP is to support adults and kids impacted by cancer by ensuring sustainable funding to the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor, and to provide brides with a socially-conscious, eco- and budget-friendly option for purchasing their wedding gowns.
Of course, you can always donate to The Brides Project or the Cancer Support Community at any time!
