Our nursing program, founded in 1962, is fully accredited for the bachelor's, master's, and doctor of nursing practice by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) since 2006. Within our state of the art nursing simulation laboratories, students prepare to provide care across the life continuum using high fidelity simulators and standardized case scenarios throughout the undergraduate and graduate level nursing programs. We are pleased to be able to partner with a variety of agencies/hospitals in our community to offer outstanding clinical experiences for students enrolled in these programs.
Hospice and Palliative Studies offers associate, bachelor’s, and master’s programs along with certificate offerings. This program has enjoyed success since its inception in 1984. Providing education at the undergraduate and graduate level, it is the only university-based program of its kind in the nation. Our faculty are highly regarded in the community for their experiential knowledge. Population Health Care Management and Healthcare Informatics and Quality Systems Management are cutting edge positions needed in today’s complex health care industry. Population Health Care Management graduates will support consumers as they strive to achieve wellness. The informatics professional supports the healthcare team in managing data to improve the quality of health care.
