Advising Syllabus
The purpose of academic advising is to assist students through an academic journey that is intellectually, personally and spiritually engaging at Madonna University and to facilitate successful completion of their program in an expedient manner. To assist with this, the Advising Syllabus has been created as a tool that outlines what you will learn as a result of your work with advising, what you can expect from your advisor and what your advisor expects from you, as well as key issues that are relevant to you as you work your way through the university. Use it as a resource and guide, and refer to it often as you and your advisor continue to talk about your life at Madonna. Use of this tool is grounded in our understanding that advising is essential to the educational mission of Madonna.
We encourage you to take advantage of the Advising resources available to you on these pages, and your assigned academic advisor. The syllabus is one of many resources for you to use as you continue your education at Madonna. Depending on how many semester hours you have completed, click on the appropriate syllabus (on the right-hand side of this window) to review the goals and objectives we hope you will achieve by the end of your academic journey at Madonna. |
