Madonna Broadcast and Cinema Arts Students Win Awards

LIVONIA, Mich. – The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) 2017 Michigan Regional Student Production Awards for excellence promote best practices to university/college and high school students. The awards are intended to be an incentive for the pursuit of excellence in television journalism and to focus public attention on outstanding achievements in television produced by students.
Of the six colleges and universities receiving nominations this year, Madonna Broadcast and Cinema Arts (BCA) students earned the second most with 14 nominations, and they tied with Michigan State for the highest number of awards; garnering six.
Representing Madonna at the NATAS 2017 awards ceremony, April 29, were the following students: Nancy Boyd, Maya Clark, Davis Clenny, William DeYonker, Meghan Griesbeck, Chelsie Husband, Will Julien, Chris Kemski, Kara Kwiecinski, Cristina Paglia, and Kelly Surmann. BCA Program Director Suzanne Boyd commended the students for their successes, and thanked Madonna faculty, staff and administrators for their continued support.
