Why did you choose Madonna University?
I chose Madonna because it was very accommodating to my schedule. Madonna felt very accessible and I liked the class size. I instantly felt connected to the program and felt like I was part of the Madonna Education family.

What do you think makes the experience and education at Madonna special?
I believe that Madonna feels very community based. I became familiar with many people within my program and it was comforting to have many people in the same track as me. I am now nine years removed and I still feel a connection to the program.

What have you been doing since graduation, career wise? (graduate school, employer?)
I started as a long term sub at Wayne Memorial and have now been teaching at Catholic Central for the past eight years. I have been an assistant coach of the Academic Team for four years, and I am now the co-head coach with Chris Gismondi who is also a Madonna graduate.

How has your Madonna degree played a role in your current position?
Madonna's program emphasized getting into the classroom and observing. I feel that I was well prepared to enter the job market because I was very comfortable speaking to both students and administrators. The Madonna Education program prepped me well and gave me the tools necessary to find success in the classroom.

What has been your most rewarding professional or personal experience since graduating?
I am now a teacher at my alma mater Detroit Catholic Central and I am instilling the virtues of Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge in the next generation of Shamrocks. I wake up every day excited to go to work and get my students interested and excited about History.
