Admission Requirements
Applicants for admission to the Hospice and Palliative Studies specialty are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Possession of a master’s degree from an accredited institution, with a graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Two letters of recommendation from an employer or agency affiliate.
  • Admission interview with the Director of the Hospice and Palliative Studies Program or designate.
  • Admission requirements and procedures follow the policies in the Graduate Bulletin.

New students may apply to the Certificate in Bereavement program at any time. The three courses are not sequential. Applications for admission are available online or from the Graduate Studies Office, room 2414, 734-432-5667,
